1. Your site
Enter your website. Heralded reads your pages and drafts your brand profile, with your Brand name, Category, Buyer and Offering, and lists the competitors it found under Rivals. Check each one and fix anything wrong, because answers are judged against this profile. You can add what sets you apart later, under Identity in your brand settings. Add Other spellings that count as mentions of your brand. Each drafted field names its source, such as “From your homepage” or “From /pricing”. Your domains shows your main website first. Under Other websites you own, confirm any other sites you own. If Heralded links an existing Snapshot, this step names its domain and date. Its prompts start ticked on the next step. Market and Language set your Default segment’s market and language. Heralded fills in the country it detects. Choose Global to measure without a country.2. Prompts
Heralded suggests prompts from your site and market. The screen is titled What your buyers ask AI. Heralded tracks these questions every day. Tick the ones your buyers would really ask, and add your own with + Add a question. Each ticked prompt uses a prompt slot, and un-ticking one frees it. Favour category questions that don’t name you, such as “best accounting software for small agencies”. Those are what your figures measure. Choosing prompts has more. Rivals named lists up to three rivals named by the suggested topic. These suggestions appear first. If suggestions fail to load, choose Try again.3. First report
The Answers list shows five prompts per page. Use the page controls to see the rest. Confirming your prompts starts the first report. The Herald asks your prompts of the engines read every day (ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode, plus Claude if you have it), and the answers appear on screen as they arrive. Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot answer from their first twice-weekly read. You can leave. Heralded emails you as soon as it lands. Your first report uses the Snapshot’s deadline and partial-report window. It opens on the answers received, within 30 minutes plus scoring time. The first-report screen and Home name engines with missing answers. Late answers keep filling in until the report is final. Answers still missing then are not measured and do not count against you. Daily updates and later weekly reports wait for their cells. The score ring is labelled Heralded Score and shows a number out of 100, without a percent sign. It measures the answers received so far. The Heralded Score explains the scale. It stays empty until the score can be measured. Returning to the screen shows the stored figure, and the completed report shows the same score as Home. Engine icons have names you can find with a screen reader or by hovering. The main button says Ready when the report lands until the report finishes, then Meet your team, which opens Home.Your first report
When the first report lands, the Herald opens it in its conversation the first time you visit. Its Start buttons let you begin suggested tasks. Home shows your Heralded Score with Mentioned, Recommended, Understood and Praised, then Things to do, the work that needs you. One-time setup follows when there are setup cards to show. A first report has nothing to compare with, so Changes, Since you started and Paying off appear with the second report. The pages on the rail hold the detail. How Heralded works lists what each page answers.Your first week
After the first read, a daily update asks the engines every day. Invite your team from the workspace’s Members page. Members and roles explains what each role can do. Seven days after you confirmed your prompts, or on the Monday after if that is a weekend day, your first weekly report lands. Home shows One-time setup from your first report. Connect Search Console so suggestions come from real searches. If the crawl shows your site runs WordPress, connect it so Heralded can apply site fixes. Add more prompts appears after your first weekly report, with new suggestions from your first report in Discover on the Prompts page. Depending on your brand and plan, setup also includes:- adding a segment for another market or language, on plans with more than one;
- choosing what Heralded may do in Autonomy, once you have approved some work.
