# Your first weekly report

> What changes a week after setup, and where to look first.

Seven days after you confirmed your prompts, or on the Monday after if that is a weekend day, the first weekly report lands. It is the first built from a full week. Each daily engine has now answered each prompt up to seven times, and Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot up to twice, so the Prompts page shows counts such as "Named 5 of 7 days", and Mentioned, Recommended and the score rest on more answers, with narrower [ranges](/methodology/ranges).

It is also the first report with something to compare against. Each figure now carries a [change](/methodology/change) against the reports before it, and only a real change counts as a move.

If you bring a Snapshot into your brand, its baseline counts only the prompts you keep at setup. Home, the trend, Prompts, the API and MCP all use that baseline, so its figures can differ from the Snapshot report. If you keep none of its prompts, the baseline is not measured. The Snapshot report keeps its issued figures.

## Where to look first

The Herald's conversation holds the report message and its figures. The [weekly report message](/concepts/daily-updates-and-weekly-reports#weekly-report) keeps that week's results and links to the pages and tasks behind them.

* **Home**, for the score, four figures, **Changes**, and **Things to do**, the work that needs you.
* **Prompts**, for the prompts where engines recommend a competitor and not you.
* **Competitors**, for who gained [share of voice](/methodology/share-of-voice).
* **Actions**, for drafts waiting in **Your turn**.

## Home

The date beside **Home** is the latest weekly report. Hover over it for the time it was updated and when the next scheduled updates are due. A screen reader reads the same details when you focus the date.

The score ring sits beside the Herald's status line. Its byline names the first report or weekly report and its date. Open its info button for the [Heralded Score](/methodology/heralded-score), its range, the answers and dates behind it, and the five [score bands](/methodology/heralded-score#the-score-bands). Escape or a click outside closes the panel.

Below it, **Mentioned**, **Recommended**, **Understood** and **Praised** each show a value, up to twelve weekly reports and a change. Home always reads your latest weekly report, whatever period you chose on another page, so the score, the cards and the status line state the same values and changes as the other pages and the API. A real rise or fall names its comparison period. **Steady** means the move is too small to call. **Calibrating** shows the raw change while the baseline builds. **First report** has no earlier report to compare. Open a card for its figure pane, which opens on the same report and states the same value. A figure pane reads the answers of the period and filters it opens under: its measures, its breakdowns by engine and intent, its trend and its prompt rows, where each engine shows its newest answer in the period.

**One-time setup** comes next when there are setup cards to show. **Changes** lists up to five dated changes and marks unseen rows **New**. **All changes** opens the longer list; each row keeps its link to the relevant page or pane.

**Things to do** sits beside **Team activity** and shows up to five work rows. Its closing line says when nothing needs you, when every row is shown, or how many more are in **Actions**. Members who cannot start work see **Waiting on your team**.

**Team activity** shows what Heralded has read, written and finished. Hover over the tally for the totals since you started. The numbers update as work finishes, with a brief highlight when a count rises. **Now**, **Next** and **Done** group running, scheduled and finished jobs; empty groups stay hidden. Finished jobs show what they found, unseen jobs carry **New**, and failed jobs have an alert mark. Open a line for its pane over Home, or **All work** for **Actions**. When reports are paused or stopped, a sentence replaces the job groups. Reduced motion disables the running dot's pulse and the tally's flash.

The bottom two panels appear from the second report. **Since you started** compares your first reports with your latest and draws one bar per weekly report, up to the last twelve. It calls a move from the third report. **Paying off** shows up to three verified actions, what happened and their gain. When there are verified actions, **All verified** opens **Actions**.

On a phone, the hero stacks, the figures sit two per row, and the paired panels become one column with **Things to do** first. Changes show page paths in place of full URLs. Setup cards leave room for their close buttons.

## Who gets it

Workspace members get the report by email, as [Daily updates and weekly reports](/concepts/daily-updates-and-weekly-reports#weekly-report) describes, and Slack gets the headline if you [connected it](/concepts/connections#slack).
